Bloodbath Fanzine Glasgow based Khydra successfully blend their heavy stoner sound with psychedelic passages and crushing doom, all held together by the excellent vocals of guitarist Joe. One of those bands that just sound too enormous to be a three piece, this is not just a great debut but a genuine stand out of release of 2015. Favorite track: Haug's Ayre.

Zhakathoom Good honest stoner rock with a heavy twist and a refreshingly different vocal track. Joe, the singer, has a voice that ranges from clear and soft to a sort of powerful yet clear rumble, and it's delivered with a conviction and feel well fitting the music. If the music is a surging river in flood, the vocals is the rumbling riverbed stones that dances along with it. Favorite track: Twin Suns.
